GoodDate.org is a free, non-profit dating and matchmaking platform.
The general idea is that you sign up, answer questions and add preferences, and then the platform uses your answers to find the most compatible matches. You then like any matches that vibe with you, and if they like you back you can message eachother, build a relationship, and maybe even meet up in real life!
This was the most difficult aspect of this service, and we believe it's better than any existing service provides for a few reasons:
The algorithm takes your answers and your allowed answers (preferences) and finds users that are compatible to you, it then takes that list of matches and compares each match's preferences against your answers. The more compatible answers you have, the higher the match score.
For example, if you say you're a vegan and you're looking for a vegan or vegetarian, the algorithm will find users who are vegan or vegitarian and looking for a vegan. If you mark that as a dealbreaker, then anyone who is not a vegan or vegetarian will not be shown to you. Anyone who would not date a vegan will not be shown to you.
